New London Digital Academy harnesses the spirit of 21st century learning by giving 7th-12th grade students flexibility in how they learn, while providing them with extracurricular and social activities.

Our hybrid learning environment is one of the first of its kind in this area. Through our award-winning Odysseyware curriculum, New London Digital Academy students can have a flexible schedule while learning from home and get face-to-face help from their teachers each week onsite at our academy.

Students at New London Digital Academy will also get access to sports, clubs and social events at New London Middle and High School. Parents and students can now choose a flexible learning schedule for their students without fear of isolating them from their peers.

F.A.Q

Can I participate in extracurricular activities?
Yes! All students of the NLDA can participate in sports, clubs, and special events, such as prom and graduation.
Will I get a diploma from NLDA?
Yes! You will receive a New London High School diploma once all graduation requirements have been met.
Will I have to access to real teachers when I need help?
Yes! Highly Qualified New London Teachers will monitor all Digital Academy students. Teachers from the four core content areas, as well as health, business, art and PE, will have drop in hours on Monday through Friday. In addition, teachers from the four core content areas will provide tutoring hours on Monday through Friday. A full time aide will be in the academy to assist students with day-to-day needs.
What if I don’t have a computer at home?
That’s ok! Full time students will be provided school-owned Chrome books to access their course content at home.
Do I have to live within the New London Local School District?
No. Students who reside outside of the New London Local School District may attend the New London Local Digital Academy through Open Enrollment. Interested families should contact the New London Local School’s Board of Education Office and request the necessary Open Enrollment Form.
Do I have to go to the learning lab each week?
Students who are in poor academic performance or who aren’t progressing through their coursework may be required to attend the academy on Monday through Friday. The building will be open during normal school hours 7:45 to 2:45 during those days, and New London Schools transportation will be provided to those students that are residents of the district. All open enrolled students must provide their own transportation. A breakfast snack and lunch will be provided to all students who attend the program all day.
Attendance will also be required if it is requested by the family, in consultation with the building principal; if it is required by Huron County Juvenile Court; or if there is loss or damage to the Chrome book issued.
Will I have to take standardized tests?
Yes. NLLS Staff will administer OGTs/NGA within the Digital Academy.
Can I take courses at NLDA for credit recovery?
Yes. Traditional students that are in need of credit recovery may elect to take courses through Odysseyware in order to accelerate their recovery/graduation plans.
